Dr. Phil Stricklen has over 35 years’ experience in the development of new polymers, fibers, and synthetic turf products. He has a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Arkansas and a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from Iowa State University.
Dr. Stricklen is one of the most widely respected and admired professionals in the synthetic turf industry. He has served as the Synthetic Turf Task Group Chairman for the ASTM. ASTM International is a globally recognized leader in the development and delivery of voluntary consensus standards. He also serves on the Sports Testing and Sports Terminology committees of the ASTM. In addition, Dr. Stricklen has served on the Technical and Infill committees for the Synthetic Turf Council and participates in the Turf Suppliers Committee of the NFL. He has been a featured speaker at numerous industry conferences around the world.
In 2016, Dr. Stricklen received a major award from Applied Market Information, Ltd. (AMI). AMI is a group which hosts an annual conference highlighting technical and innovative developments in the synthetic turf industry around the world. He received the award for his contribution to the development of synthetic turf testing standards which are used throughout the industry.
